A kiss is like
any kiss
If not for those poems on kisses
a kiss is
just another blossom
in a flower basket
But coffee isn’t so
A coffee is never
replicated
I have never drunk
the same-tasting coffee
twice
There is always
a new thing discovered
or missing
in every cup of coffee
Kisses are never alone
But when I sip coffee
I am as much in solitude
as that coffee
At times
a sip of coffee may taste
more bitter
than a kiss
but have I ever heard of
the best kiss that is
better than
the best coffee?
Also
I sense much more
the unique existence of someone
In a cup of coffee
Much more than in a kiss
